This encoder can measure rotation at speeds of up to 3000 RPM and plugs into a Phidgets Encoder Interface.






This is a small ball bearing construction, rotary encoder without index that goes up to 3000 rpm.
The encoder comes with a 1 meter cable and 2 mounting screws.
To attach this encoder to the shaft of a motor or another device, we recommend one of the following shaft couplers:

  • 3420 - Spiral Beam Coupling 4-4mm
  • 3424 - Jaw Coupling Half 4mm

    This rotary encoder connects to:

  • 1057 - PhidgetEncoder HighSpeed
  • 1047 - PhidgetEncoder HighSpeed 4-Input


  • The easiest way to connect your encoder to the 1057 or to the 1047 is to use a 3019 - HighSpeed Encoder Cable 50cm, cut it to the desired length and solder the encoder wires to the encoder cable as follows:
    The following table shows how to connect the Load Cell Wires to the bridge connectors.

    You could also buy the male connector, which is a Molex 50-57-9405, and crimp it onto the end of the cable, if you have the appropriate tools.
